The Top 10 Women-Hosted Podcasts to Make You Smarter About Money

Best women-hosted financial podcasts - Miriam Ballesteros blog.jpg

Podcasts are all the rage these days, and for good reason.

Plain and simple: they are an excellent way to learn about money while you're doing something else (commuting, cooking, cleaning, working out…).

As a female personal finance blogger, I am passionate about sharing ideas, tools and resources that encourage women to make better money and career choices, and I love to see (and get inspired by) other women in the finance space who have a similar passion.

So here are 10 women-hosted financial podcasts that are incredibly accessible — well-produced, excellently researched, and full of big personality covering all things money.

Did I mention every podcast is free?

Let’s get started!

1. Mo' Money Podcast

Jessica Moorhouse is a millennial money expert from Canada. In Mo' Money Podcast she interviews personal finance pros and the shows are so inspiring you don’t want to miss any of them.

Jessica recently attended to Money20/20 and #FinCon17, where I got the chance to meet her in person and learn about her a trip across america using only chip & pin. Too good!

2. Girlboss Radio

It’s no secret that I recently became obsessed with Sophia Amoruso of Nasty Gal and her book. I even wrote a post about the best unconventional career, money and marketing tips from #Girlboss.

Girlboss Radio is a weekly podcast that highlights world-class entrepreneurs, CEOs, creatives, and artists. On each episode, Sophia interviews extraordinary women that will light a fire under you to get up and get things done.

3. Afford Anything

Hosted by Paula Pant, the blogger behind Afford Anything, this podcast shares the same vision as her personal finance blog: you can afford anything, but not everything — and that’s true not only for your money, but also your time, focus, energy and attention.

In this spirit, she interviews money experts and talks about her journey to building financial independence. Check out Paula Pant’s biggest financial mistake so that you can avoid it. 😉

4. Marie Forleo Podcast

You probably know Marie Forleo from her shows in Marie TV. But did you know that she also hosts a podcast?

Marie and her guests share actionable tips and strategies for greater happiness, success, motivation, creativity, productivity, love, health, contribution and fulfillment — often with a lot of laughs.

5. The Words + Money Podcast

This one recently made it to my favorites!

Tess Wicks is an incredible woman who gives you no-bullshit advice on how to save and make more money, and clear out the clutter in your mind about financial matters.

What do I like the most about Tess? She’s got a great sense of humour — which makes her podcasts entertaining AND educational at the same time.

6. So Money

I'm a huge fan of the So Money podcast.

It got me through many long commuting days in my Barcelona days, and I have been inspired by so many of her guests, including Tony Robbins, Tim Ferriss, and Seth Godin.

Farnoosh Torabi is an award winning financial correspondent, best selling author and highly sought after speaker.

7. The Clever Girls Know Podcast

Bala Onada Sokundi calls it “a podcast for women on all things money”. And you bet it is.

Bola is a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI) and money expert who teaches women to ditch debt, save money and build real wealth.

Do you follow her yet? You should!

8. Money Girl

These shows are short, sweet, and to-the-point.

I go to the So Money podcast for quick tips when I don’t have time to listen to an hourlong broadcast.

Laura Adams is the woman behind Money Girl. She’s a financial literacy advocate who is passionate about making complex financial topics easy to understand.

9. Profit, Power, Pursuit

Hosted by Tara Gentile, the Profit, Power, Pursuit podcast takes you behind the scenes of successful small business while diving into the details of what it really takes to get a business off the ground.

Put it another way: her conversations on the podcast will give you creative insights you didn't know you needed.

10. She Did It Her Way

Amanda Boleyn is an amazing host who loves serving the world by connecting women for good and fostering intentional, and authentic relationships.

Every week, she interviews top-tier female entrepreneurs across America who are breaking rules and doing things their way.

I absolutely LOVE learning from their challenges, struggles, failures, and successes and enjoy the great storytelling.

Bringing it all together

The next time you find yourself sitting in rush hour traffic, turn on a women-hosted financial podcast; you can ease the boredom and drag of your daily commute while learning a thing or two about money.

I’ve rounded up some of my all-time and recent favorites:

  1. Mo' Money Podcast
  2. Girlboss Radio
  3. Afford Anything
  4. Marie Forleo Podcast
  5. The Words + Money Podcast
  6. So Money
  7. The Clever Girls Know Podcast
  8. Money Girl
  9. Profit, Power, Pursuit
  10. She Did It Her Way

I’m so thankful for each of these 10 women. Hopefully, you can take something away from their financial podcasts that’ll touch you, too! 😊
